Living celebrations or Living Funerals, are still a relatively new idea in the UK which originated in Japan 1990's.
In the light of medical advances we sometimes find ourselves in the unique situation of knowing how long we have left, to enjoy life.
There is usually a list of things people would like to achieve before their passing, more often the list includes spending time with family and friends making those special memories.

Living Funeral is an event for friends and family have an opportunity to reconnect with a loved one and to be involved in an upbeat celebration of their life while they feel well enough to enjoy it.

At Ceremonies & Celebrations I will help you organise your living celebration, weather you would like a formal ceremony or something a little more informal where your guests share stories about you.
The location can be somewhere that is personally significant to you or somewhere you have always dreamed of having a do.

I can create an celebration that is so personal to you Just bring your ideas and together we will create an event full of memories.

How this works.
I will arrange a planning meeting convenient to you. During this meeting we will work together to create your vision for your living celebration. I will discuss your venue, and how you would like the celebration to feel.
Would you like a formal event with a black tie dress code where a ceremony takes places with poems, readings and music. Or maybe a informal event in a marquee with straw bales to sit on, while drinking cocktails watching the sunset with all your friends and family enjoying your favourite music.
After the initial meeting where I have gathered all your ideas and views. I will then write a draft plan where at this point you will be able to change anything. Nothing is set in stone.
